Bull dog ant

The Bull dog ants of Australia are the strongest ants in the world. There sting is powerful to produce an Anaphylactic shock . If someone left untreated it may be lethal. These ants eat smaller insects. They also eat sticky things form leaves. Mainly the adult ants eat nectar and honey dew. These ants can grow up to 40mm. There stinger is located in there abdomen. They’re very aggressive with there stinger

The worker ants dig holes do the house work and also take out the rubbish. Queen ants lay all the eggs. Male ants mates with the queen. Even though these ants are very busy they spend sometime cleaning there antennae and legs. The bull dog ant is very engaged with fighting if an unwanted visitor such as a spider a bee and other types of ants.

Suf life saving education

Last week the yr 7’s of Pt England school went to Mairangi bay for the surf life saving education. I was wondering if the view of Mairangi bay was going to be wonderful or not. As soon as we arrived at Mairangi bay the view seemed alright too me. So we went up into the safe house and was instructed on the things that will keep us safe when we are around the water. It was time for a swim i couldn't wait to have a nice refreshing swim. I was swallowing water like it was my favourite. We were boogie boarding like people surfing in Hawaii, Even though the weather was horrible.

We had an amazing brilliant time at Mairangi bay learning new things like saving lives and how to be safe in the water.

They eat soil dead and decaying material.
Earth worms have moist skin.
Earth worms also break up and aerate the soil.
The earth worms skin is filled with a film of mucus.

How to survive in a life raft

Surviving in a life craft


If you are in a life raft here are somethings you should remember:

1. Never drink sea water and urine it will only make you even thirsty.
2. Practice swimming to the craft.
3. Always have sea sick pills.
4. Where a life jacket.
5. Hug on or snuggle up to someone to keep warm.
6. Keep your floor dry in the craft to avoid getting saws.
7. Have lots of gear so you wouldn’t die of exposure.
8. Practice inflating the life craft blind folded.
9. Don’t say you are going to die or you will.
10. Don’t eat or drink for 24 hours because you can survive
11. Learn to swim.
12. Only little bits of food.
13. Grab lots of water containers.
14. If the craft capsizes you need a the strongest person to get in first and pull the rest in.
15. If water gets in quickly get the water out.

Parakai Pools

On a hot sunny day I was so relieved that my family and I were going to parakai springs. We set off on our two hour journey.

As soon as we reached our destination i was pleased to see plenty of people having fun. I had just put down our bags when suddenly I heard my name. I turned around and there was Judah, a boy from our school, so I said, "Hi" and carried on with what I was doing.

“Finally I can go for a swim," I said. As soon as I hit the water I felt refreshed like I had been drinking lots of cola. After a long time in the pool I decided to go to the hydro slide. "3 2 1 GO!". I slid off like a car spinning out of control. My speed that I was going at was terrific. “Here’s the end I said”. I had been spat out from the hydra slide crashing into the pool.

So, our trip to Parakai Pools involved lots of fun and plenty of laughter.

The Giant Burrowing cockroach

Each person in our class had to choose an insect to write about and I chose the giant burrowing cockroach. This is some information about the giant burrowing cockroach.

The suburban dare devil Kick Buttowski

 

Kick Buttowski is the surburban dare devil. He is very small for a dare devil but still experienced. He has high intelligence in skate boarding. KIck has a favourite stunt called the dead man's drop. 

Gunther is Kicks best friend they spend most of their time together trying to come up with a brilliant dare.

The Simpson's is a family with many talents. Homer has a talent which is eating. Bart has a talent which is skateboarding. Lisa has a talent which is playing the trumpet. Maggie sucking her dummy all day. marge she has many talents cooking ,driving and cleaning. I love Watching the simpson's every day. I like it how nelson says ha ha.
